Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is an upcoming science fiction 3-D film scheduled for release in 2009. It is the sequel to the 2007 film Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between the heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons. Shooting began in May 2008 for a June 26, 2009 release date.

Bay desired to give the sequel a bigger budget for a global scale and better characterization for a larger cast of robots. The main hurdle in getting the film produced was overcoming the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, as well as possible strikes by the Directors Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild. Bay met his shooting date with the help of previsualization and a scriptment by his writers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and series newcomer Ehren Kruger.

"Adoration" speaks to our connections -- with each other, with our family history, with technology and with the modern world.

Sabine (Arsinee Khanjian), a high school French teacher, gives her class a translation exercise based on a real news story about a terrorist who plants a bomb in the airline luggage of his pregnant girlfriend.

The assignment has a profound effect on one student, Simon (Devon Bostick), who lives with his uncle (Scott Speedman). In the course of translating, Simon re-imagines that the news item is his own family's story, with the terrorist standing in for his father. Simon reads his version to the class and then takes it to the Internet. In essence, he has created a false identity which allows him to probe his family secret. As Simon uses his new persona to journey deeper into his past, the public reaction is swift and strong. Then an exotic woman revels her true identity and the truth about Simon's family emerges.

Crank 2: High Voltage

Walaupun ketika dirilis pertama kali, Crank bukanlah sebuah film action terpuji, namun ternyata film ini mampu memberikan perolehan box office yang tidak sedikit. Hasilnya, tentu saja sebuah sekuel dibuat.

Dalam Crank 2: High Voltage, Chev Chelios (Statham) kembali melanjutkan petualangannya untuk mengejar seoarng mafia China yang telah mencuri hatinya. Sedangkan untuk sementara, Chelios menggunakan sebuah hati buatan yang menggunakan tenaga baterai yang memerlukan kejutan listrik agar dapat terus bekerja.

Sounds like... crap? Well... film ini, seperti halnya seri pertamanya, memang hanya menawarkan rentetan adegan aksi, plus sebuah adegan seks antara karakter yang diperankan Statham dan Smart, yang membuat film ini telah diberi rating R oleh MPAA. Crank 2: High Voltage direncanakan rilis pada 17 April 2009.

Mary and Max adalah sebuah film animasi yang menggunakan teknik stopmotion claymation dalam pengambilan setiap gambarnya. Kalau teknik ini terdengar aneh, ingat-ingat saja film-film seperti Flushed Away atau Wallace and Gromit, atau serial MTV, Celebrity Deathmatch, yang juga menggunakan teknik animasi yang sama. Mary and Max sendiri disutradarai oleh Adam Elliott, sutradara pemenang Oscar, untuk film animasi pendeknya, Harvie Krumpet, di tahun 2004.

Cerita yang ditampilkan oleh Mary and Max sendiri mungkin terdengar aneh. Menceritakan mengenai persahabatan antara Mary (Collette), seorang gadis berusia 8 tahun yang tinggal di Melbourne, dengan Max (Hoffman), seorang pria berusia 44 tahun yang tinggal di New York. Persamaan mereka yang sama-sama merasa terpisah dari dunia, menyebabkan persahabatan mereka lewat perantaraan surat menyurat menjadi sangat dekat.

Selain cerita yang menarik, film yang membuka Sundance Film Festival awal 2009 lalu ini, juga diisi suarakan oleh beberapa bintang terkenal, seperti Toni Collette, Philip Seymour Hoffman serta Eric Bana. Mary and Max premiere lewat Sundance Film Festival 15 Januari 2009 lalu. Namun, film ini akan diputar perdana secara luas di Australia pada 9 April 2009.

Dilanjutkan dengan penampilan yang banyak dipuji di Knocked Up, nama Heigl pun benar-benar menanjak ke dalam jajaran aktris papan atas Hollywood.

The Ugly Truth adalah film terbaru Heigl, yang kali ini dipasangkan dengan aktor Gerard Butler. Di film ini, Heigl berperan sebagai Abby Richter, seorang produser sebuah acara morning show, yang sedang menhadapi berbagai masalah dalam percintaan. Sementara itu, ia sendiri sedang dihadapkan dengan berbagai tes mengenai cinta oleh salah satu koresponden di acara Abby, Mike Alexander (Butler), agar Abby dapat menemukan cinta sejatinya.

Seperti film-film bergenre romantic comedy lainnya, cerita film ini mungkin mudah ditebak kemana arahnya. Namun, chemistry antara Heigl dan Butler-lah yang patut untuk ditunggu. Joe Wright memulai debut penyutradaraan film layar lebarnya dengan sebuah kejutan. Nominasi Oscar. Film layar lebarnya, yang merupakan adaptasi novel karya Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice, berhasil menjadi favorit kritikus film dan masuk nominasi Oscar. Dari sisi cerita, The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past memang tedengar simpel. Namun, disinilah kemampuan Waters sebenarnya, seperti yang pernah ia tunjukkan pada film-filmnya sebelumnya. In the early 1990s, a tractor mechanic from China nicknamed Steelhead (Jackie Chan) enters Japan illegally, in search of his girlfriend Xiu Xiu (Xu Jinglei). FYI: Witherspoon gak membuang-buang waktu untuk mengisi suara film animasi lain. Dan film animasi kedua Reese Witherspoon adalah The Bear and the Bow yang merupakan karya... Disney/Pixar yang akan dirlis pada 2011.
